Howdy. I’ve bounced around while working between North and South America for nearly two decades, usually too busy with work to stop and smell the roses. However when I have found some free time, the locations I’ve lived in and nearby places travelled have been an absolute pleasure. I have been meaning to collectively share some of these experiences with others along the way, and thus as I find myself with a bit more free time these days, I’ve put this together in an attempt to share.

I am an avid fly fisherman and fly tyer, wanna be chef and a foodie. I have been fishing as long as I can recall, spending time learning with my grandfather and friends while growing up, as my patient father who would rather listen to nails on a chalkboard than fish, would always find the time to haul us out to the mountains for a weekend camping some nearby trout stream or lake. My 7th grade science teacher got me hooked on fly tying early, setting up after school sessions for those interested in learning, which I’ve taken up as a passion at times more than bring on the water.

When unable to be on the water or at the vise, I’m usually in the kitchen working on a 72 hour short beef ribs or perfecting a fried chicken marinade. There’s something calming about being in front of the fire over the weekend, particularly with a can of Street Art or an open bottle of Bosca’s Malbec DOC on the counter.

Such are my passions, and thus I’ve attempted to throw this blog together to pass along what I’ve discovered along the way while picking up to change addresses on average every 15 months the past 17 years between the US, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Bolivia.

Enjoy.
